Math Tutoring

First let’s establish: Why is math important? And, does your child need math help?

Math is fun!  Math is all around us and is used every day:  A youngster counting the number of cheerios in a bowl, the time the school bus arrives, how much it costs to buy a candy bar and knowing that you received the correct change, measuring the distance traveled in a car on vacation or its gas consumption, writing code, the design of and construction of a building, or writing music. Without math you won’t be able to do science, nursing, engineering, become a doctor or even get a business degree. Our very livelihood is dependent on our ability to calculate, add, subtract, multiply or divide.  How about technology? Math cannot be ignored. Your children will be exposed to math concepts in early preschool.  Math success is very much dependent on a building block approach; mastering one block of skills before going to the next.
